When she was a little girl, she displayed a talent for drawing. Her father gave her a book entitled, "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". The core of the book taught that everything in the world is a line and everything in a line is comprised of dots, however, miniscule. As a result, she truly saw what before she only thought she was seeing.
Fascinated with the female anatomy, she later attended live, nude drawing classes in Venice Beach, California. The classes were super charged with wildly erotic energy that was harder for the men to harness than the women though they felt it, too. She was intrigued by this sexual spell and the magnetic charm of the models, as if standing on a table, nude, was natural to them. That is what drove her expression. So much so, that she abandoned her left-handedness and drew only with her virgin right hand in an effort to trick her brain into drawing what she saw.
In her twenties, artistic expression led to writing erotic poetry and short stories. She favored the elegant sensuality of Anais Nin and the seedy, grinding rawness of Charles Bukowski. Her travels led her through Western Europe and parts of Central Europe where she wrote for an American newspaper in Prague, known as Prognosis. She concluded the earlier years of her travels with a brief stint in modeling upon her return to the U.S. in Boston. Migrating to her native Los Angeles with no more than a few dollars in her pocket, she embarked upon a career in finance that landed her own business for more than 17 years.
Success of her financial career allowed the freedom to return to art but in a new medium. Influenced by the spontaneity of travel and an innate inspiration for writing, the camera seemed the only method with which to explore the world at any given place or time. A camera would incentivize her to go anywhere and communicate visually with her own eyes. Instinctively, she returned to exploring the depth and sensuality of the female form with her camera. She made a living photographing new models building their portfolios. Eventually, she found her way into the world of erotic photography and hasn't looked back.
Years later, she met her husband, business partner and perfect compliment. They have had the privilege of enjoying many successful photo tours around the nation photographing wonderful ladies in magnificent locations. Yes, photo touring is hard work but they love it and are grateful for all who have made the tours possible.
